That's weird because according to Puerto Ricans he was in his prime and 100% healthy when Cotto beat him. So strange he went to prime to shot old man with blown out knees in a year. Crazy stuff.

Cotto defied the odds .. Literally... He was the underdog, a pretty significant one at that. There are quite a few pre fight threads on the subject and NSB Had Serg winning and in most peoples minds by KO, myself included.

He deserves whatever credit he got for that win ... Most of you won't give it to him but had GGG gotten the opportunity to batter Martinez I believe people would be singing a different tune...

Sergio wasn't 100% but it had no difference on the outcome. It was the same as the Floyd/Manny fight, his shoulder had no effect on the outcome. Manny could throw punches, Martinez could move and walk/run.

He said he was going to wait to hear what his doctors had to say but either way he has to go through half a year of therapy and time is not on his side.
I wish him a long and healthy life.
