You don't. You just wait until the fight is over, then claim the guy you wanted to win got robbed.

I like to spin around in my chair while I score fights.

I start off by judging who is controlling the pace while being effective.

On the real though, you score round by round on a scale of ten. You don't really earn points you have them deducted, you start at 10 and work back.

Generally rounds are scored 10-9, unless there are knockdowns which usually garner a point. You can score a 10-8 round without a knockdown (like never happens IRL), or you can score a round with a knockdown still 10-9 (not quite are rare as a 10-8 round w/o a knockdown).

Add up the round, and there you go.

To this day, I say Margarito was robbed in the Pacquiao fight. Tell me I'm wrong

              I'm afraid I can't do that.

This is the current problem with scoring. Different judges score on different criteria.

If fighter A was to land 3 bombs on fighter B while fighter B lands 6 soft touches on fighter A, who do you score it for? In that scenario I would score if for the fighter who dished out more damage but someone else would score it for the fighter who landed more.

If in a round neither fighter lands anything significant enough to win the round, do you score it for the fighter who's effectively able to avoid punishment or do you score it for the fighter who's pressing the action and trying to mount some sort of offensive attack against a slippery opponent? If the guy evading isn't using his slick defensive style to make his opponent pay when he misses, then I have to give it to the guy trying to actually make the fight rather than the guy trying to avoid one. Some judges will agree with me while others will give it to the avoider.

LOL! On a serious note though, a lot of people really have no clue how to score a fight. I scored a lot of the fights I watch so my roommate tried scoring the May Pac fight. He scored it 117-111 for Pacquiao

Any round Pacman wins is 10-8. Any round Pacman's opponent hits him more or won't let Pacman hit him I score 10-9 for Pacman because he is an invincible superhero so nobody deserves to beat him.
