It's true though can't deny it this guy was locked up in a cell at one point. That hook sent him down for good but with legal issues, promotional issues it was the perfect juicy pick.

Kirkland was made to be KO'd by Canelo.

Nothing would of changed it. Maybe he would of fought a little smarter and lasted two rounds longer if he had a tune up but he was going to get KO'd regardless.

If u pay attention to the way he speaks , Kirkland clearly has long term brain damage and shouldn't be fighting at all anymore . If he has ANYONE around him that loves him, hopefully they're speaking out against him fighting period , including (Ann Wolf) . Ann Wolf needs to stop propping herself up by saying had she'd been in his corner things would of been different . The only thing she should be advising him to do (if she really loves him) is to quit fighting . She claims that he got knocked out like that because u don't fight a fighter like Canelo after a significant layoff . Well , while that's true , I really don't think it would matter when he fought Canelo because the result would be the same regardless due to his permanent brain damage

Watching some of the shots he took in slow motion , it was crazy how he hardly saw ANY coming ??? Usually when a fighter gets hit with a clean hard shot he knows its coming , even if he can't get his arms up in time to block it he can still see it and will close his eyes or stiffin up his neck for impact . Kirkland's brain function is so severe that u will be amazed by how many clean shots he took without blinking or flinching because his reflexes r so delayed he had NO idea the punches were coming , sad !

Kirkland does two things well. He can punch and he can block a punch with his head better than anyone in boxing today. I think Everlast should license his likeness for the new " kIRKLAND PUNCHING BAG" One or two more fights like this one and they'll have to fit him with a drool cup.

There was much controversy over no one being able to recognize the cerebral bleeding Gerald McClellan was having during his fight against Nigel Benn , simply because his eye blinking was excessive and his mouth piece was out a lot . People also watched the rapid decline of Me**** Taylor until he got to the point where nothing he says is even understandable , now they say its alarming that he's still fighting ! When ur a fighter Brain damage is typically a process as it usually doesn't happen over night . Whether its Ali , Frazer , Joe Louis , Medrick Taylor ect , its usually a process . As he gets older , he's gonna be in very bad shape and will prolly need someone to care for him .
