As I stated in the other thread pertaining to this....

Seems as if Haymon was under the impression that the public was so desperate for boxing to be back on network television that they would tune in to just about anything he threw out there.

The main problem I'm seeing is how its unorganized. You have different networks showing fights on different times and on different days. The average boxing fan doesn't even know who's showing what on what day and on what channel. I sure as hell don't. Didn't even know there was a fight on this past wknd other than Canelo/Kirkland.

He should have focused on bringing boxing back on one network and build on that instead of being all over the place like how it is now.

This is the price of overselling Floyd vs Pac. Hopefully it's not permanent.

      Thx Floyd.

Sadly, the majority of biased ass fans on this forum will applaud the ratings drop. Only because Haymon's involved.

Going from 1.1 to 0.9 is not a slight drop, it's a 20% drop. That is quite substantial. There was also an Indy car race opposite the boxing as well, the Indianapolis Grand Prix, which may have had an effect.

Nobody really knew those guys and Figueroa has been out of the picture for a minute so it's pretty decent I think. Competitive fights I thought. And the early start time made it more convenient for the fans of mccdonnell and Burns(I thought I read haymon made a deal with boxnation so I'm assuming people who wanted to see it did)...no 3-4am stuff so I think that is a good thing as far as unifying boxing and giving exposure to 2 or 3 fighters I'd normally have to sit in front of a stream to watch.

For example, my dad is a hardcore boxing fan..will watch whatever boxing that comes on TV.. but he will not sit in front of a computer to watch a stream - he just won't do it. He has to be sitting in his normal chair with a beer watching a TV screen. I have to rip DVD's of notable fights for him to watch overseas stuff

So, he is a huge boxing fan but is someone who never had seen McDonnell or Burns fight live (also someone like Beterbeiv)... I know for a fact he DVR'd these cards and now is more familiar with all three guys. I see the logic in a lot of what Haymon is trying to do and I'm excited for fans like him because this is bringing the product right to his doorstep

1.4 for Figueroa/burns on a Saturday afternoon that's pretty good numbers.

Be interesting to see what numbers they get when they have two guys on a PBC collision course.

Say, DSG and Thurman both go on a run of fights on network tv, and then fight each other.
