You have 3 things against you mainly:

1. Your Black

I don't know why everyone hates clottey... Dude gave us some great fights... Him vs cotto is an underrated gem, and the margarito fight was a war.. Just because dude got overwhelmed by a rampaging pac doesn't mean he is a horrible fighter

Hes not horrible, hes very good but both those fights were there for the taking and he just wouldnt. Iirc Marg wasnt a war. Clottey was taking him to school for 4 rounds then hurt hands and just was happy to go the distance
