Watch the decision be changed to a no decision.

I get the feeling they may be going after him for more than we anticipate, and he doesn't want to be a part of that. All conjecture though.

Hopefully it was a fair fight. It would be terrible to have something like corruption taint a great champion's win. Both men displayed skills. But you never know.

          I hope not!

If anything a rematch would suffice. Both fighters should great skills and heart.

Who wants to be the guy who pulls the plug on the most anticipated fight in history two hours before? The NSAC guy would get death threats if Pac pulled out he would be called a coward and Floyd could have moved on. Its a no win situation.

Personally I feel Floyd deserves credit for the win, Pacquiao and his team ****ed up by hiding the injury and under-preparing for this fight and not postponing the bout, and the NSAC guy also screwed up in his handling of the situation.

You are really blowing this out of proportion and looking for a big complex conspiracy when there is none. Bottom line: Pacquiao was injured. When faced with the injury, he was faced with two choices. Either postpone the fight for surgery (which would take several months to properly heal), or just push through it and fight. He chose the latter, and I don't blame one bit given that the chances of public outrage for delaying the fight would've been imminent, never mind if the fight was altogether cancelled.

Precisely. This is somewhat similar to Cotto-Margarito 2, where there was controversy mere weeks before the fight to see whether or not Margariot would be allowed to fight in New York given his eye injury. In the end, whether he was in fact medically cleared, or they realized there was a lot of money tied up already in the affair, Margarito was cleared and the rest is history. This is no different for Pacquiao. People had purchased plane tickets, hotel reservations, probably rented cars, set money aside, used vacation days, etc...and to delay the fight or altogether cancel...I honestly think it would've been a huge letdown for everybody. Pacquiao, either being the stand-up guy he is (and really, hungry for the scrumptious payday), went ahead and fought as best he could.

If you are GUARANTEED the biggest payday of your career BY FAR, I doubt a lot of people here in Pacquiao's position would've said, "This shoulder is so bad, I HAVE to change the date." or worse: "I can't fight. Cancel it." That road would've lead to a public debacle and Floyd fans would be taking jabs at Manny for months...

Who cares what this idiot does or says? The fact remains that #48 and his incompetent team checked off the box that said there was no injury. That fact will always remain the same, just like that loss will always be on #48's record.

Exactly. Given how much effort it took to just get the fighters, promoters, managers, and networks on the same page and to agree on all the issues, there was little chance (if any) that the fight would be brought up again if it got cancelled. And yes, I'm sure the NSAC commissioner would unfairly have been received a lot of flak for doing his job.

They're athletes. Injuries happen. If the fight didn't have the massive mainstream attention that it had, we would've just chalked it up to "tough luck, but good effort, though". Instead, we've got casuals like Skip Bayless that have something to hold up and consider as the only reason why Pacquiao lost. Skip, don't. Just...please...for the love of God...shut up.

No one was hiding the injury, Koncz the idiot ticked off the wrong box.

How can they try to hide the injury if:
                    1. They put all the pain medications being used in the form.
                    2. They told USADA and got permission to use the pain meds in training and assumed at the fight.
                    3. They asked for the pain shot before the fight.

NSAC still learned the injury before the actual fight. They needed to make the decision to cancel or let the guy fight with his shots. They did say if they knew the day before he would have been allowed. So what's the difference if they said yes yesterday or today. It just does not make sense. Someone dropped the ball in the biggest fight.

At first I thought this had to do with Mayweather's test results.
