It was a no-win situation. I can only imagine the controversy if he pulled out of the fight. The pressure on Pac to go through must have been overwhelming. Fighting injured may have been the lesser of two evils but it is still a really sour situation overall. Unfortunate that few here can be honest about it and instead we have puppets ranting about fake injuries and such.
Who wants to be the guy who pulls the plug on the most anticipated fight in history two hours before? The NSAC guy would get death threats if Pac pulled out he would be called a coward and Floyd could have moved on. Its a no win situation.
Personally I feel Floyd deserves credit for the win, Pacquiao and his team ****ed up by hiding the injury and under-preparing for this fight and not postponing the bout, and the NSAC guy also screwed up in his handling of the situation.Comment

If you are GUARANTEED the biggest payday of your career BY FAR, I doubt a lot of people here in Pacquiao's position would've said, "This shoulder is so bad, I HAVE to change the date." or worse: "I can't fight. Cancel it." That road would've lead to a public debacle and Floyd fans would be taking jabs at Manny for months...Comment

They're athletes. Injuries happen. If the fight didn't have the massive mainstream attention that it had, we would've just chalked it up to "tough luck, but good effort, though". Instead, we've got casuals like Skip Bayless that have something to hold up and consider as the only reason why Pacquiao lost. Skip, don't. Just...please...for the love of God...shut up.Comment

How can they try to hide the injury if:
1. They put all the pain medications being used in the form.
2. They told USADA and got permission to use the pain meds in training and assumed at the fight.
3. They asked for the pain shot before the fight.
NSAC still learned the injury before the actual fight. They needed to make the decision to cancel or let the guy fight with his shots. They did say if they knew the day before he would have been allowed. So what's the difference if they said yes yesterday or today. It just does not make sense. Someone dropped the ball in the biggest fight.Comment
