Yes, Lara should take less t fight GGG. I would agree with that. I hope HBO would not block this fight. Maybe as PBP suggested, Monroe is a tune up for Lara.
This is assuming Haymon would allow any of his PBC fighters on HBO as well. We haven't seen that he is willing yet.

Yeah I'm aware Hershman likes to do more with less, still I think guys who have fought GGG have been paid well considering their name values.

Because he was banned, dude. You surely wouldn't go back to HBO after being treated like that would you? He responded to their actions by creating other avenues to broadcast his fights.

How you call that being unwilling to go back to HBO is crazy. This wasn't some mutual decision. herschman made the decision and stated it in a way that clearly shows Haymon fighters are not welcome "unless the price is right", whatever that means.

If you don't like the Spurs your not a real basketball fan. Go watch the Globetrotters vs. the Nationals.

Do you think Hershman banned Haymon for no reason what so ever? Lol come on man. It was because of Haymons strong arm tactics and blackmail (if you don't buy this crappy fight for X amount of dollars then I won't bring Y fighter to your network, etc). But that doesn't even matter. Business relationships are strained all the time, that doesn't mean the door is forever shut. We already know HBO has been willing to work with Haymon since then, but we havent seen Haymon willing to work with HBO, and that's sad because some of his fighters have and will miss out on some great opportunities. Haymon is supposed to represent and do what's in the best interest of the fighters he's representing, some personal beef shouldn't get in the way of that.

Getting his fighters the most money is Haymon's job. If HBO is only willing to put on Haymon fighters "if the price is right", then Haymon can not do his job for all his fighters.

It's a defacto ban as I said earlier. The only way it gets resolved is if HBO pays more or Haymon advises his fighters take less. Neither would happen because its not in the best interest of anyone involved.

You do know that Haymon turned down more money for having Stevenson fight Kovalev on HBO than Stevenson set out to make against Fonfora and Sukhotsky on Showtime do you.

Curtis Stevens and Gabe Rosado r both solid competitors , lets not marginalize them as fighters or GGG's accomplishments by saying they r nobodies

With HBO it's always of the price is right.

But remind me how much Lara is getting for Ishe Smith and Delvin? Doubt he's breaking the bank.

Haymons job is to get his fighters the most money but at the same time that's not always been the case. Sometimes his own personal agendas get in the way. Case in point, Quillin vs Korobov for $1.4m for Peter. They dropped the belt and Peter ended up fighting for $500k against Andy Lee instead. A move that proved costly for Quillin.
