Rematch for what? Every time I see a replay of the fight, Manny looks worse. His short arms swinging and missing, at times that fight was comical. I gave him 3 rounds on the night, but 4 & 6 were his only clear rounds in my view. I can definitely see why he felt the need to resort to excuses. A rematch would be even worse, but it's totally unnecessary.

Good.....you might as well give canelo and Guerrero a rematch if you give #48 one. Bottom line is #48 is a p.ussy and a hoe-a$$ c.unt that has the worst fan base in sports, not just boxing.....worst fan base in sports period!!!!!

Don't know why there's this huge uproar against a rematch. Shoulder injury aside, the fight was certainly competitive enough to warrant one (at least, for the unbiased observer). I thought Morales beat Pacquiao more decisively in their first fight and the rematch showed a different result. Everyone also chastised Pac-Marquez 4 and look what it produced.
I personally enjoyed a tactical first fight and would watch a rematch. At the elite skill level, there's always a good chance that the 2nd go around would be interesting.
JMM refused Big $$$, for a rematch!

If you believe you're levels above Pacquiao and can beat him any day, why not give him the rematch for another record payday and break Marciano's record Floyd? We all know Manny would do it if the tables were turned. How many Excuses did you come up with not to fight him for five years Floyd?
Your second paragraph shows that the excuse worked exactly how Arum planned it. It takes away any credit Mayweather deserved, it keeps Pacquiao relevant after being made to look ordinary and has the easily led asking for a rematch that will make more money for them. Job done.

Here's how every Mayweather event goes. People say Mayweather will never step into the ring with fighter X (De la Hoya, Castillo II, Hatton, Mosely, JMM, Canelo, Madaina II, Pacquiao etx) because he is scared. Floyd schools his opponent and wins by a wide margin. His haters do everything in their power to discredit the for about a week, the next week he gets a lot of credit, then after that his hater then talk about him ducking the next guy who he's afraid of.
Sound about right?
Before the Canelo fight was made, to a person, his haters said he would never accept that fight, but if he did they would give him full credit. Those same people are already talking about Mayweather ducking Canelo today.Last edited by Johnny2x2x; 05-10-2015, 02:34 PM.
