Why did you think that it would be entertaining? Weren't people saying that it was "easy work" all along?

He will get better numbers than Cotto's ****ty match in June.

People want scintillating back and forth action, regardless if it is the best against the best or a B fighter fighting an E fighter.
A car crash is always more exciting than an art exhibit. One shows talent, the other shows incompetence.

Last I checked, there are a ton of fights which exhibit skills and are exciting and live up to their promise. And incompetent fighters have 3-26 records as pros, they do not have combined records of 76-2. It takes skills and conditioning and determination and a fighting heart to reach the upper echelons of boxing.

We agree. But to call last night exciting is a poor choice of words. Watching a man who has a solid reputation, but whose circumstances suggest he will not be competitive, get beaten up by the favorite in a "look good" fight should be called something else.

Sadistic comes to mind. Brutal. Dominating. Violent. Savage.

Last night was an "exciting" fight as verbatim described by many articles and it was every minute of the fight from start to finish. Kirkland was right there firing off bombs as well....he had a punchers chance and he fought with the sword and died from it. And I sure as hell was excited....I wanted Kirkland to drop Canelo too and test his mettle with multiple knockdowns from both to see who could rise from the ashes.
