Exactly. The man went out on his shield. That's for sure. Will be watching both again.

I knew Kirkland wouldn't win, but he did bring it at first, and actually forced Canelo to step up and get him out of there fast. Kirkland had only one prior loss, so he's not really a bum. And Alvarez hadn't fought in 10 months himself. I give Ginger some credit.

ali did 90 million viewers before so yea 5 million isn't sh-it. its still dead on the national level, but its dominating in the "pretend to be a businessman" demographic.

but 90% of his viewers are not boxing fans, they're worldstar fans, or people who hate him and are hoping to see him lose

his CRAFT doesn't entertain most fans, he doesn't take risks, he pot-shots and (lately) clinches the **** outta people so he doesn't get KTFO

As silly as it sounds, yea. I think a few of us saw this coming a few years ago, that his fan-friendly style would be just what boxing needed once the next generation came around. He can handle runners like Lara and sluggers like Kirkland. Though I used to criticize the easy fights he had coming up, Canelo has become the real deal. Bravo.

some fanboys were actually picking kirkland for the upset, and at the least were saying it was 50/50

              it obviously wasn't, but hindsight..

I don't know whether it's ignorance, ******ity or a combination of both. If you think the Worldstar crowd put a half a billion dollars in his pocket during his career then it must be a combination of both mixed with delusion, bitterness and denial.

See. This guy knows what's up. Canelo has a great balance on his career and knows who he is as a fighter. He may lose a few along the way, but he's always gonna give his best, and that's damn good.

                      Lol doubt it man.
Measuring right, straight lefts down the middle repeatedly, Kirkland crumbles around the 4th or 5th round.
