even though kirkland sucks, he does have a lot of power, and i give canelo props for manning up and taking on kirkland head-to-head and not running away and potshotting. that's real heart and real guts. unlike floyd hit and run headlock mayweather.

we need more warriors in boxing, we need more heart. none of this hit and run poop that makes boxing such an unwatchable mediocre circus show.

In your scenario, the "Floyd nuthuggers" actually are correct. Floyd potshotting Kirkland over 12 rounds is mere speculation and desire.

You think those 5-6 million people are gonna keep tuning in after what they saw last week. The consensus is that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was a snoozefest. All the casuals I talked to just thought that fight was terrible. Literally, that fight may have killed boxing.

Now you have a fight that likely had more action in 3 rounds than Mayweather has had in his last two fights total. The thing is, casuals want to see exciting fights, this isn't rocket science. I desperately wish casual fans would do 5 million pay-per-view buys for fights like tonight's. I really wish they could see exciting fights, instead of tuning in once in a blue moon for big name fights, that usually never deliver.

Casual fans are morons that deserved to be duped! If casual fans had done their research then they'd know that Mayweather vs. Pac would not be slugfest.

Casual fans want instant gratification because they are spending their money. Oh well. Life doesn't work that way.

Look at the UFC, their biggest fight to date was JONES vs. CORMIER. That fight was not a brawl or a slugfest. It was a very technical fight between the top two fighter in the division.

That's how it works. You don't get dumb slugfests at the ELITE LEVEL of any combat sport.

So again, most casual fans are idiots and deserve to have their money taken. They got to experience a BOXING CLINIC last week. If they don't like it then that's on them for being too THICK to understand what they're watching.

Again, the WWE is calling. Boxing will be ok.

That is not good boxing. It's totally irresponsible as a trainer to have your fighter fight the way Kirkland did tonight. You can be skillful, defensively responsible and exciting like Chavez Sr, Duran, Barerra and Morales and still have a long, successful career.

There is a difference between a great brawl and a beat down like this that will cut his career short and damage him mentally.

all week it was like i was lost at sea, in tatters barely hanging on to the last life raft i could jump onto as the boxing ship sunk.

hungry, thirsty, and barely clinging to life, all of a sudden on the edge of the horizon, i see a helicopter coming to me. closer, closer, right over me now. a ladder drops, i climb up and with every last bit of energy i have, right into the arms of canelo. canelo saved my life (kirkland was there too)

Boxing doesn't need saving. Great night by both men. But we allllll knew what was gonna happen in that fight. With that said the mega fight was a dud to most casuals and even many hardcores. I thought it was fought at a very high level. N enjoyed it. But I enjoyed this one too. I like all styles.
