Ok so ya maybe omar won,i had him winning by one round whit the 2 points taken off, but i dont think those points should of been taking the off! the ref was terrible, pushing the boxers arms off each other leaving them open, the points deductions, realy terrible reffing IMO!! what wher the judges watching?? because no way in hell did fig win by that much. wasnt really a huge fan of ricky burns before this, but Jesus this man has been robbed of just about everything, including a fair fight tonight!! do you think its the worst judging and reffing so far in the PBC??

That's what happens when everyone is used to poorly refereed fights where fighters can clinch and hold and grab without any penalty. This is how boxing should be refereed. The name of the sport is BOXING, not WRESTLING. Hold and grab and get points taken away.

But when your fighting that close its impossible not to do those things. fig was doing it too??? are you really trying to say that you shouldnt be allowed clinch if your hurt or some guy is right on top of you and grabbing you also?? cause if you do then you clearly have never boxed in your life!!!

There are ways to clinch. Burns was holding on so tight it was like trying to separate two dogs in heat. And no, if you are hurt, block and defend yourself without holding on. That is why there are rules against it. The problem is that over the last decade or so, the rules regarding clinching and holding seem to have become more suggestions that actual rules and there is a generation of boxing fans who have never watched properly refereed fights as the rule rather than as the exception.

I'm all for anything that stops holding!! Problem is, we won't ever see something like that happen to Floyd.

Too late for anyone to ref a Floyd fight properly but he's retiring soon so who cares? But it would be nice to see some changes before Ward gets back into the swing of things.
