wilder qualified for the olympics with 20 amateur fights and won a bronze medal. he had only been boxing for two years when he qualified. he won the US nationals in his 14th fight. if that's not talent, i don't know what is.
Winning gold medals at Olympics and World Championship is.
As for Wilder's bronze medal, I advise you to go on YouTube and watch the quarter finals, Wilder didn't win that fight.
better and higher ranked than most of the men on that list, yes; particularly before the wilder fight.
fury could have an argument made, as could povetkin. jennings and pulev have done nothing to distance themselves from stiverne.glazgov, perez, and thompson are STILL ranked below stiverne, in spite of the fact that he's coming off of a loss. thompson has a better resume, but fighters are not ranked based on their body of work over the course of their careers entire careers.
wilder is a top 3-4 HW in the world. why?
Maybe not Pulev, since he got stopped by Wlad, but Jennings? He went 12 rounds with a much more experienced champion in Wlad, and actually frustrated him. That's got to count for something.
