Comments Thread For: Kameda vs. McDonnell: BoxingScene.com Staff Predictions

It's not the unification bout they hoped for when initially agreeing to terms, but Tomoki Kameda and Jamie McDonnell are primed and ready for bantamweight warfare.

The two throw down Saturday afternoon at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, with the bout to air live on CBS in the United States, and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. The bout serves in chief support to Omar Figueroa's venture into the 140 lb. division versus Ricky Burns in a matchup of former lightweight titlists, which tops the latest edition of the Premier Boxing Champions series. I can almost stake all my money that the guy who said Kameda KO has never seen Jamie McDonnell fight ever. I don't even think McDonnell has even been badly hurt let alone been knocked down in all of his pro fights and he's faced much bigger punchers than Kameda too.

****ty prediction by that guy. The others are good though, and like some said it's closer than people think. 50/50 fight.

I think McDonnell by a razor thin decision not sure if he'll get it though. I'm not impressed by Kameda they talked him up on Boxnation a few times, hyped him to the hills and I thought he stunk personally.

Agreed. I think if I was to pick one, McDonnell will get the decision. Kameda KO pick by that guy was dumb as hell.

Yh was a bit of a bald prediction. Surprised he dropped him though he didn't look hurt, more a flash knockdown than anything.
