Funny how the crowd that normally hangs off of what Marquez says does a 180 here. It's ok, not every outcome is going to be black and white, sometimes sht happens. He didn't say he should've withdrawn from the fight completely. He said push it back to September. A contract was signed but an injury, you can't help. Mayweather delayed the fight with Marquez with an injury, Pac could've done the exact samething.

The problem that people are forgetting is moving the date of the fight is not going to help his injury. He needed surgery to repair the damage to his shoulder. Moving the fight to September probably would not have helped and only give Floyd and the public information that Manny is injured.

I just posted that the fight was already in jeopardy and Moonves had to be called in to save it at the last minute. This wasn't a rock solid agreement, it was all tenuous and you can be sure there was no provision for September.

It took Pacquiao 6 years to get Mayweather in the ring, if he delayed it that could have been it. There are no parallels with the Marquez fight which Floyd himself chose as his comeback fight from retirement.

In any event, Pacquiao needed surgery and 4-6 months to heal.

Pacquiao is expected to destroy who he faces. If he doesn't, the other guy is favored, even if Pacquiao hurt the other guy more.

Mayweather is expected to run, hug for dear life and potshot. Which he did. Even if he got hurt more, he is favored.

Watch the fight without paying attention to the commentators, the slo-mo replays, compubox, Lederman scoring (if it was done), etc.
