Prudential Center, Newark, NJ - Maryland’s Mike Reed (14-0, 8 KOs) defeated Puerto Rico’s Osenohad Vazquez (8-4-1, 3 KOs) by a second round TKO in a Jr. Welterweight contest. Stalking with the double jam and straight left to the body. Reed hurt Vazquez with a right hook that had Vazquez on the ropes early. Reed continued the assault throwing combinations throughout the round forcing Harvey Dock to tell the corner if Vazquez didn’t thrown in the second it would be over. Vazquez lasted two minutes in the second round before suffering a barrage of hooks and a straight left that knocked his head back forcing Harvey dock to stop the contest a 2:00 of the second round.

If they don't show Clottey highlights, I'm gonna burn HBO down.

Julian Rodriguez KO'd Peter Oluoch in 82 seconds.

Looks like a good prospect...can't wait to see the video of this one.

Impressive that they say he sold 600 tickets...he's starting to develop a following.

That shot that stumbled Tapia was a beaut and Tapia wasn't going to recover from the Soro flurry. I don't know where Tapia goes from here.

Man, I'm like glen's biggest fan but I just realized he's not that good. He'll perform well against a guy who sits in front of him, but he's def is horrible and a good boxer cold pick him apart.

Tapia looked slow and sloppy tonight, idk if it was due to him struggling with the weight. Perhaps the fight against Kirkland took something out of this kid.

Monaghan was not impressive at all tonight, he has a lot to learn and I thought the fight was closer than the scorecards indicated.

Tough week for Freddie. Has any of Freddie Roaches fighters won this year?

Dominicans don't have the chin to make it far in boxing. I wasn't surprised by this KO. The next one to get KO'd is Javier Fortuna.
