Frankie Gomez and Humberto Soto has now been pulled, according to Golden Boy Promotions Vice President and head matchmaker Eric Gomez.
The fight was originally booked for a max of 141-pounds. Gomez found himself way too heavy this morning and a deal was reached where the fight was pushed up to a catch-weight of 145-pounds. Gomez still blew the weight, coming in at 147.5-pounds. Soto was within the limit at 142.5.
In the HBO televised main event, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez weighed in at 154.5-pounds - and James Kirkland also weighed in at 154.5-pounds. The weight limit was 155-pounds.
