Erislandy Lara will headline the June 12 edition of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike TV. The top-rated junior middleweight will face Delvin Rodriguez in the 12-round main event at UIC Pavillion in Chicago, Illinois.

The headlining attraction was confirmed by Warriors Boxing, who will serve as lead promoter for the show. Lara's place on the show was confirmed last month by BoxingScene.com, although the opponent remained in question until Friday's announcement. [Click Here To Read More]

I've become so jaded with Lara, dude is too damn talented to be performing to the level of his opposition. I have a feeling he'll let me down again against Rodriguez, someone he should absolutely destroy.

Lmfao. For someone as talented as Lara he really has terrible trouble getting anyone with a pulse to fight him right now.

No, this is just the kind of opponent Haymon supplies his fighters. Another typical PBC matchup.

i think there's a misconception out there that lara is avoided or that people dont wanna fight him. history and his own resume suggests otherwise. every top contender in his weight class has fought him besides andrade, cotto and kirkland. he has fought canelo, trout, molina, williams, smith, angulo, matirosyan. some of those names might not be huge (i.e. ishe smith) but it's not like that division is super deep and these guys are the top contenders at 154. the 3 that haven't fought him yet would probably fight him if the timing is right. i dont understand why people say he's avoided or that he cant get a fight.

Competitive match ups rarely end in KO's and thats what they want, especially for a Spike TV audience. So yeah, go ahead and put him there get some excitement going for PBC
