Some of the responses in this thread show just how fickle and pathetic the fantards on here are.

Froch has had a great career and has literally fought everyone in his weight class, has given the fans so many great fights.

Yet all you read when he talks about retiring is "*** off then" or "he's scared of x, y an z".

That's why I'm so glad that boxers fight solely for money.

Froch offered to fight Ward. I don't think either wanted the fight at this point. Ward was not going to come to England in his first fight on his Roc Nation contract to fight Froch. He admittedly wanted a soft touch.

Who can blame Carl Froch for retiring now that he is 37 years old with an estimated net worth of 20 million dollars. The simple fact is that there are no lucrative fights out there for him similar to the George Groves fight.
