if we swore and disrespected our parents a fraction of what yall do wed be cripples, black parents whopin all the time for any sh** you dont step outta line like that.
**** I'm white and I know exactly what you're saying. I think its more of a generational thing than a race thing tbh. I remember one ass whoopin at a water park where my Mom wore my ass out from one end to the other with her hand, hand starting hurting and she took her flip flop off and starting wearing my ass out some more. After a minute she looked at my Dad and said I'm tired you whoop his ass.

Forgot to comment on the thread lol. Fighters have a choice here so I don't feel sorry for them, but I do remember Kirkland saying one time that if a man ever acted like she did towards him he would of killed that mother****er lol.

she should have spent more time getting kirkland to move his head out of the way of punches.

telling him to, "move your damn head" only goes so far.

i have no doubt that some of wolf's techniques will get you into shape initially. i'm not sure of the practicality of this, frankly, in any capacity. if you do this every day, you're going to get injured, and your conditioning will get worse.

if you guys think this is rough, you should see how they freaking spar in that gym. kirkland used to beat on chubby / out of shape LHW and cruiserweighs until they couldn't freaking stand. wolfe would be there screaming at him to kill the guy.

you'll get burned out in a few years if you train like that for 10 weeks, 3 times a year.

She's a ****** ass b*tch, that about sums it up. Yeah, being tough is part of being a boxer. Destroying your body before a fight... that's about the dumbest **** I ever heard.

Old "tough" trainers are nothing more than ****ing idiots, it's as simple as that. Recovery is just as important and toughness and health even more so. This is why Kirkland has no chin because he's in a war everyday with Wolfe. Him leaving can only be a good thing. I don't care who was around if that b*tch threw that at me I'd pick it up and throw it right in her face.

                      (1) After the initial conditioning gains from the massively increased workload, the athlete's development tended to stop because those trainers had no systematic understanding of the athlete's physical development. They only understood two modes - 'in shape' and 'not in shape'.

                      (2) Performance gains tended to slow, then go into reverse, and ultimately end in injury/burn-out because those trainers didn't understand the critical role of recovery in physical development. Naturally this led to bodies breaking down under stress, and athletes going into career-ending spirals because of the mental stress that came with this.

                      (3) Making both of these issues worse, was that the Wolfe-like trainers only had one answer to the problems they were seeing when athletes started to deteriorate - to work them harder. They assumed that athletes were 'soft' or 'lazy' when in fact they were often falling apart because of the unrestrained physical stress the trainers were putting them through.

This emerged over and over again across different sports in the past two decades, and now the likes of Ann Wolfe are regarded as dinosaurs in elite level sport. If she showed up to train a professional sports team and started doing that crap, they would interrupt her and send her home after 20 minutes.

There's nothing 'hardcore' about what she's doing. It's just dumb. It's a classic case of someone's only tool being a hammer, so every problem must be a nail.
