Saying someone is on steroids is not an opinion. It's not one of those things you can just choose like which type of bread is your favorite.

He either is or is not on steroids. You can say I think he is on steroids but to flat out say he is without any proof is not an opinion but rather something you believe to be fact.

Anyway, on Paulie, he would love a Pacquiao or Mayweather fight but the truth is he has never been good enough to land one.

Paulie feels he needs to say it to bolster his self-esteem regarding his own career. He is the one who loses out ultimately, he was cut from the co-commentary, lost of fans and respect and made himself look very small.

i don't recall where i read this information, and i apologize if someone else has already mentioned it, but i remember hearing about how when Paulie was set to face Hatton someone from Manny's camp (Roach maybe) said that they wanted to fight Hatton next. This apparently upset Paulie because it made it sound like they weren't even considering the possibility that he might win the fight. In retrospect Paulie's indignation is a little bit comical since he ended up getting straight up blitzkrieged by Hatton. I just think that bitterness has stayed with him all these years.

Paulie's overwhelming bias against Manny has actually changed my perception of him a great deal. For a while I was a big fan, because I like him as a boxer (I know...I'm in the minority) and as a commentator, but he is so unnecessarily harsh and focused on tearing down Manny at every opportunity it just doesn't sit well with me. It's clearly something way beyond the su****ion of performance enhancers. There's no other fighter that he goes after so relentlessly, not even guys who have *failed* drug tests. Plus he's working with Memo for God's sake! And it's pretty ridiculous too because you know Manny is not the type to pay attention or get angry and strike back. So he feels safe, like he can say whatever he wants with no repercussions.
Excellent posts, describe how I feel about the situation as well.

Everyone can bash Mayweather, and laugh it up but god forbid someone is critical of Pacquiao.. and this isnt just on the forum, we're also talking about the media

Paulie always keeps it real, and calling him bitter or a hater is just to discredit that
How long have you been following boxing? To me it's quite clear Paulie has gone BEYOND the point of just hating on Pac for not taking the tests. It's a personal grudge at this point. And he is, without a doubt, a hater.

Paulie has has a bug up his arse over Pacquiao for a long time now. He is strangely obsessed with Pacquiao.

He is irrelevant in the ring, with a laughable CV. He uses his mouth to try stay relevant. As fun as it would be to see Pacquiao beat him to a pulp..sometimes guys who want a pay day and another 5 minutes of fame are best ignored.

His cry for attention over stuff like Haymon, PED's, Memo..came back to bite him in the ass when he showed himself up as a hypocrite.

He's fighting Danny O'Connor next. That's more his level..if he really wants to fight Pacquiao, he should call out Bobby Pacquiao. That would be more of a even match-up.

This is actually a good fight for Pacquiao, as a comeback farewell bout from his injury.

At least Paulie will talk smack to Pacquio and it could get peoples juices flowing again.

The only problem is I think Paulie out boxes Pac, Paulie is looking good in the gym he is working with Memo Heredia and punching harder. Paulie is not like Floyd who barely throws anything and flinches too much and grabs and runs, Paulie actually moves off the jab and constantly throws while turning guys. stick and move.

Right now is the perfect time for Paulie to fgiht Pac, Pac isn't as explosive as before and he is coming off a surgery.

I mean it's the kind of thing where Paulie is smack talking a fighter who is levels above him. The idea that Manny or anyone from Top Rank would give Paulie the attention or credibility by calling him out on his weak self anointed position in judgement isn't likely. Paulie is small ****in potatoes and even though I'd love to see Pacquiao kick his @ss, the fight would make no sense other then a farewell fight for Manny. I mean seriously Paulie holds no weight at 147 anymore. The same thing goes for Floyd, as soon as you address your critics, then more start to pop up everywhere looking to get the spotlight. Floyd is always surrounded by controversy so it kind of comes to him in many instances like the TI scuffle and other ATG's talking smack

Its frowned upon to be critical or say anything negative regarding Pacquiao

I mean, Max Kellerman was getting crap for being shocked when Pacquiao said he won the fight, when that same reaction has been given to MANY other fighters who had said the same thing following a clear loss

People dont want anyone being critical of their favorite fighter, and Pacquiao has the biggest cult following fanbase there is in sports. When Its a fighter like Mayweather, thats being criticized, its considered okay and applauded

It really comes down to double standards and Pacquiao being painted as some saint

you act like he is just giving his opinion in a cordial and professional manner, nope this dude calls Pac a joke, a bum, a coward, a drug user, and does it in insulting fashion, the guy is a hypocrite, he talks about drugs yet he has ******* bug eyes, probably sniffs lines all day why he is so amped, also never took a random drug test in his life yet he is an authority questioning Pac, and now he is using Memo Heredia a ped chemist dude is a joke.
