Comments Thread For: WBO Prez Explains His Support of Haymon Investigation

In an article reported by BoxingScene.com, it cited that The Association of Boxing Commissions has asked the Attorney General of the United States to investigate “Alvin Haymon and various companies associated with him” for allegedly breaking numerous provisions of the Muhammad Ali Act.

On Wednesday, Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions filed a lawsuit against the high-powered adviser and his financial backers on the basis of a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. The company sent out a press release that it was seeking 300 million dollars in damages.

Yes! Throw Al Haymon in jail for 5 years and fine him $250K! To be honest he deserves the death penalty. He's a criminal.

While they're at it give Floyd Mayweather Jr. the death penalty for beating women, give Adrien Broner the death penalty for robbing old ladies and endangering the public by driving drunk, give Adonis Stevenson the death penalty for pimping underage girls, give Erislandy Lara and Guillermo Rigondeaux the electric chair for boring people to death, give Gary Russell Jr. 25 years for all the beatings he put on T.B.A., give Andre Berto, Mickey Bey, and Lamont Peterson the electric chair for using steroids, give Peter Quillin the death penalty for being a b**ch, and give Eric Kelly lethal injection for calling Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The God a "b**ch a$$ n***a".

Must suck that there are no good Mexican boxers anymore.

There are so many of you who adore this sport yet you cannot produce any good fighters.

Nothing this guy is saying makes much sense. It's obvious that Oscar has been in his ear and he's just going along with it. Oscar most likely got him on board by suggesting that Haymon could potentially render the WBO organization useless and insignificant in the future. It's as simple as that.

This guy couldn't even form an intelligent argument for making the decision. No wonder he's afraid.

Makes perfect sense. This has to happen every 5 years or so. Like Clemenza says at the end of this clip. It's gotta be stopped at the beginning...
