Just look at the fight, there is no hint of a shoulder injury, he was still throwing wild hooks and missing in the later stages of the fight. No mention in the corner of any problem between rounds. Then no mention of it in his post fight interview. If he said "My shoulder was giving me problems so i couldn't fight my fight" but still gave Floyd credit, people might have actually given him the benefit of the doubt. Anybody who has been watching boxing long enough knows you can tell when a guy is carrying a bad injury in one hand, arm or shoulder. Just by the way he's throwing or not throwing. Pacquiao did not have any signs of a guy with an injury.
If you wanna go back further. 1 week before the fight there's a video of him looking great. Then even further back on 15th April there's a media workout video, again, he was looking very good.
I think it's an absolutely bogus story and we have much more evidence that its a lie than the truth. No signs during the fight, training videos looking great, an official form filled in that there's no injuries etc.. etc....
If you believe this, i have a bridge to sell you

No one said he is lying about the injury, he just needs to admit it was injured during the fight not before. I saw a video ONE WEEK before the fight where he looked 100% and was throwing right hands like no tomorrow and just as fast as he always has. All they did was had a prepped way out as an excuse ready to go, among others I am sure. But funny enough what else did they conjure up:
1. I think I won the fight
2. I didn't do enough because I had a hurt shoulder
3. He ran, I won
4. I was too flat flooted, I lost
5. I should have went to the body more
6. The judges were paid off
7. NSAC screwed me
8. Compubox is inaccurate
How many stories are there to explain a loss? Seriously? I have never seen something as pathetic as this. If any of you think a rematch will be any different you are sadly mistaken.

Whitaker injured his shoulder in the ninth round (a broken clavicle). The fight was stopped at the end of the round because Whitaker couldn't lift his arm without severe pain. When the doctor touched his shoulder at the end of the round to check it, Whitaker damn near fell off the stool because he was in so much pain.
There is no way in hell a fighter could suffer an injury as severe as a torn rotator cuff and continue to fight. Pacquaio would have been wincing in pain every time he threw his right hand after the fourth round. There was no sign of distress to his right arm and he threw it over 200 times in the fight.
It's all bulls...t!!!!Last edited by big_james10; 05-07-2015, 03:05 PM.

Even if we assume Pac has a super human tolerance to pain and masked it (close to impossible already) , they would at least have iced it in the corner, to numb the pain.
Nothing of this happened.
It seems Pac had an old injury , so his team (and promoter) decided that now was a good time to fix it, since it'll probably help Pac get a rematch, amongst other things.
Maybe his shoulder started to bother him during the fight, that's likely, he though wasn't a one armed fighter, in no way and form.

that said, it doesn't mean he throws it, it means it's getting the same velocity and pop that it usually did.
It didn't have the snap in his right punches. Hence, he's half the fighter he usually is in that particular night.
