Porter has always been a big guy, and Broner started off pretty light.

I heard Porter blasted Willie Monroe out in 2 rounds in the amateurs. Is this true?

Porter's biggest problem in this fight besides the weight is going to be Broner's clean punches against Porter's smothering ones. I'm pretty sure Broner can't handle him the way Brook did up close, but he needs to be careful that he doesn't fall into the trap of letting Broner land all the good looking punches. Smothering inside work is really easy to ignore.

I think he will fight similar to Taylor and do it better. The question is, how much better? good enough to make it a close fight? to make it a clear decision? does he put Broner on his ass? There's no way of knowing exactly how much the CW and rehydration clause will affect Porter. This factor makes the fight difficult to predict.

It's the re-hydration clause that makes more difference than the CW anyway.
Too bad, so sad. He accepted it and his side has no excuses so neither should you. Porter can't blow up into a middle weight, that's a good thing.

it makes for interesting discussion and analysis. if broner wins the cw + rehydration clause could discount his victory in the public's eyes...but a win is a win
