Man that was nothing, I was lucky to be at the Alamodome when Maidana popped his cherry, I don't think any live event will ever top the emotion and drama of that night, people were tearing Broner a new ******* during and after the fight. It's understandable though since he was undefeated back then.
Look at the 5th round. Broner is a MUCH BETTER come forward fighter than he is a laid back counterpuncher.
He always was, him trying to be like Floyd is a big part of his downfall because that is not him at all. Plus being a fighter like Floyd requires insane hard work to master every nuance of the game.
Broner just doesn't have that kind of commitment or dedication to his craft, so he needs to give that up and go toward something that at least suits him better.

Been saying this. He looked much more fluid before he became floyd 2.0 and started shoulder roll. His early fights on hbo yes they weren't super tough opponents but he looked comfortable and way better than his sorry as philly shell

These are things that Broner himself needs to realize and I really don't know how he struggles to see that. I've always said he's a much better fighter coming forward, he doesn't have the mobility or that good of reach to box.
Broner looked like garbage when he fought on the front foot against Ponce as well. He's basically the most unskilled brawler trying to look like Floyd. Rios does a more legit Floyd impression.

That right there sums it up he's too laid back in that his ability to fight in more than quick spurts is awful,he can't his gas tank is equivalent to that of a lawn mower while top guys are working with semi truck tanks.
Broner just isn't very good. How many times does he have to be unimpressive for people to see that?
He should fight at 135, but I doubt he can make that. At least shoot for 140, but I think even that would be too tough for him, since he is fatass between fights.
He just aint that good when he's fighting guys around his size and not bullying lightweights. Sadly for Broner he isn't 21-22 anymore and he cant boil down to those weights and bully guys.
That's all there is too it. He's just not good enough to compete at the top level and there's no shame in that because not everybody can be a top fighter. I'm sure he'll get plenty of good fights and might get some decent wins but he just cant cut it at the top. It is what it is.
