Comments Thread For: DiBella Fires Bombs on Golden Boy Over Haymon Claims

On Wednesday morning, Golden Boy Promotions officially announced that their company had filed a $300 million lawsuit against manager/adviser Al Haymon and related companies and Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. and its related hedge funds.

Golden Boy's lawsuit alleges repeated violations of antitrust laws and the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act.

The lawsuit alleges that Haymon - through his Premier Boxing Champions series - "has entered into agreements to restrain trade in a substantial portion of the market for promotion of Championship-Caliber Boxers." And the papers further claim that Haymon is exploiting fighters by violating the Ali Act.

Lou just ripped this whole lawsuit apart. Oscar acting like he cares about the fans now. Arum has ripped off fighters, tampered with scales, paid fines for bribing sanctioning bodies, been raided by the FBI. But the fans hate Haymon soooo bad.

Everyone here has to know this isn't about the fans, isn't about the fighters. It's about one rich guy being jealous of what another rich guy is doing. This doesn't help boxing at all. It's hilarious how ppl are jumping on this law suit bandwagon. Oscar wants money. As soon as he gets his money, he'll shut up n go away. Until he wants more money I guess. The boxing landscape is changing n what's gonna stop that?

DiBella is spot on! Golden Boy was Al Haymon's #1 partner for years, and they would be nowhere without Haymon fighters. Now that Haymon has taken his business elsewhere, Oscar is crying like a b*tch!

Straight stomping GB! Dibella is a throwback G always keep it in depth. Just how I stated how pissed off Oscar was because he got no chunk of the historic fight PBC has the ability to monopoly the game soon. Haymon is light years ahead of Oscar.

I don't know what Oscar and Bernard are talking about. Haymon actually does right with his fighters. His fighters get paid the highest amount of their lives. Even if fighting bums, they get PAID.
