Yeah but then Russell stopped Gonzalez (who was highly ranked) so it gave him a big boost.

It is hard to make sense of what they so at boxrec at times, but their methodology works for them. I still cannot figure out how santa cruz got up so high.

It happens, Lomachenko has a low number of fights and Rigondeaux has been inactive.

The guys Santa Cruz have been fighting aren't worth much but they are worth something (if he had a close fights against one of these guys it would have cost him).


It does show why a math formula is not the best way to rank guys, it can work decently at times (usually the top guys are toward the top of the rankings) but there are just things it can't measure or adjust to.
