Carl Froch 'It was a one-sided whooping by Floyd Mayweather'

Styles I think, against a mover pressure fighters go well, Chavez another who did relatively well against Floyd.
Also think Manny has become a bit flat-footed since Bradley 1 which didn't help and I don't think he has the same engine any more either, looked gassed at the end of the 10th, breathing hard.Comment

I get that, but I always thought Pacquiao's angles would trouble Floyd, and that Manny's foot speed would give Floyd fits. But turns out, Pac couldn't deal with Floyd's jab.Comment

Apart from the 4th round there was not at any point that i thought Mayweather is uncomfortable, I agree with Floyd sr TBE should have push more, i know he doesnt like to take unnecessary risks but i believe he had Manny from the very first round like that right hand that he land in the firstAgree. After the first 2 rounds, I was like "Damn Floyd's got this, he's making this look pretty damn easy". Pacquiao did better in the 3rd, then when he briefly staggered Floyd in the 4th, it got genuinely interesting for a minute. But Floyd adjusted quickly, and was never really again in legitimate trouble, and really had his way with his jab and counters.
50 secs. i believe he could have stopped Pac but he might be dropped or staggered himself.Comment

Carl Froch is an idiot, jt was a schooling rather than a whooping. Maywather won with his jab, not his power punches and Floyd gave Manny 3 rounds himself. It was as one sided as froch-groves one then you muppetComment

I had it wider than you but i agree with what you are saying. It was a 'whooping' only in that he won clearly. Surely you need to land more punches to be in 'whooping' territory?Froch is right in that Mayweather nullified Pacquiao's offensive game. However, Mayweather didn't actually do that much himself, which prevented it from being a complete schooling. There were rounds in which Mayweather was clearly comfortable, but I scored to Manny for being the aggressor in a close round. Either way, I still had Mayweather winning 115-113.
This was like 1-0 win in football where the losing team never really threatened and the winning team stayed comfortable throughout.Comment
