Why is this a surprise. I've known since Mayweather-Pacquiao was announced Khan won't fight Floyd in September due to Ramadan because its not feasible for him to get ready for the biggest fight of his life after fasting for 30 days. Same with Brook, he doesn't want to go into fasting for 20 hours a few days after the fight and you can't blame him for that.

There is no other option for Floyd, nobody brings the same money or is as experienced. Thurman is a nobody and he has an atrocious resume, DSG would be a white wash 12-0, he won't fight Cotto because he's with Roc Nation, he won't fight GGG either thats just too much of a gap, floyd came in at 149 lbs vs Pacquiao, he's a very small WW.

Well said. I think he will probably fight Garcia in September. Garcia is kind of overrated but they could sell the fight. He's undefeated, speaks good English, and has a good fan base.

As much as I'd love to see him honour his word to Khan, I don't see it happening anymore. Floyd just doesn't have the passion for boxing anymore... unless Khan fights Pacquiao first, and the winner then fights Floyd's 50th fight... But most likely Khan-Floyd won't happen... It sucks.

Why not, there is nobody else for Floyd. Its his last fight WHO CARES about the fight date, why not just fight Khan a month or two later, what is the freaking big deal?

Ramadan in 2015 will start on Thursday, the 18th of June and will continue for 30 days until Friday, the 17th of July.
