  • Comments Thread For: HBO's Lampley: Taints Pacquiao's Career, Bad for Boxing

HBO Boxing sportscaster Jim Lampley joined The Rich Eisen Show today to reflect on Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao three days after. Lampley felt remorse for those then spent money attending the fight and those who pay-per-viewed it. He also explains that while it can be seen as noble for Pacquiao to fight with an injured shoulder, he in fact did a disservice boxing and the audience. Lampley is not in favor of rematch.

After suffered a twelve round decision loss, Pacquiao and his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, revealed the boxer had entered the fight with a right shoulder injury.

Basically, HBO is not paying for a rematch. Bob Arum has really ****ed up NOW! Crawford beats Pacquiao, and Manny retires!

yeah I am a huge pac fan but man iam just pissed with him that he fought the fight injured dumb move ****** and ripped off us all , btw ive had rotater cuff surgery it took 12+ months to get movement back and its never came back to 100% and before the operation I couldn't even lift that arm above shoulder height so I question how bad it really was because he looked to have full movement in the fight just a lack of punch output.

pacs excuse parade has finally got him in deep deep trouble.........

do i feel sorry for pac? no. because right after the fight mannys sole mission was to detract away from the schooling he was just served. thats all he was thinking about. he then goes to the philippines and basically says mayweather knew about the injury and couldn't stop twisting his arm in the ring? WTF...........this guy is out of control. again. an excuse gone way bad for team pac & his fans

mayweather at this point is laughing & knows 100% that manny has absolutely nothing for him in any rematch. manny will never have anything for floyd. mayweather knows this at this point.

Yikes. Its clear by Lampley's comments(Because he wouldnt have made em)
That HBO is also disgusted by Pacquiao and his image is indeed tainted and its such a shame

I doubt his next fight, if he even fights again, is going to be on HBO PPV
Yeah, try selling the public another Pacquiao mismatch after this mess

                Not happening

The rematch wont happen despite Floyd's willingness. He will rejoice that the media and overall negativity is now directed at Pacquiao and if noone wants a rematch, theres no reason to have one. Butt hurt fans dont count
