What a compelling matchup that would be. We don't quite know -- do we? -- how GGG would do losing that much weight.
But he has such tremendous skills, and such game changing power, that I might favor him over Floyd, even though he lacks that kind of speed.
When Pac hit Floyd with a few decent shots, it didn't have much effect. But if GGG hits him, it could be over real fast with one well placed shot.
I'd probably pick GGG over Floyd at 154. And there's no way Floyd would ever take him on. And i were his dad or uncle, I wouldn't remotely support his doing so.Comment

I have no idea how this fight would go.
I wouldn't pick against Floyd even if he was up against GGG. The unknown element of this is if GGG can make 154 and still be on top form. He's been weighing in near 160 his past few fights and to take another 6 pounds away?Comment

1. Yes he is.
2. He's an entirely different fighter than Alvarez. Alvarez is a boxer-puncher. Mayweather could probably feast on boxer punchers until he's 45. Golovkin is a seeker and destroyer. He punches much, much, much, MUCH harder than Alvarez. He would walk right through Mayweather, and even if he misses 4 out of 5 punches, the 1 he lands would be like a gunshot to a very small Mayweather. The kinds of shots Alvarez did manage to land sometimes on Mayweather would have knocked Mayweather senseless if Golovkin landed them.Comment

I got Floyd by UD. Once Floyd put USADA on his a.ss. that power won't even matter, guarantee it.Comment

So GGG tops Floyd based on how he did against this list of murderous punchers & elite boxers? GTFOHGGG also used his head when Murray tried to clinch him and ground it into Murray's chest and face. Murray gave up trying to clinch after the third round or so, it was not worth the price he was paying. Golovkin would shrug Floyd off like a Rhino shrugs off bothersome flies. Then he would send him to dreamland.
GGG would only need to land once or twice against Floyd and that would be it. Floyd would have to throw punches to win and Golovkin would walk right through the best he could throw like a butterfly brushing his face.
At 154 Floyd might last 3 or 4 rounds trying to run away. At 160, he will fall faster than Rubio did.Comment
