    Should Pacquiao retire?

Let's face it. I am a big Pacman fan, but I think it is time for him to retire.

As I have said it in other posts, I do not think he is willing to fight and risk his health anymore like in the passed. Ever since the Marquez KO, he has changed his style to being more cautious. Problem is, it's not what made him exciting and got him to this level. Sure he can beat the Brandon Rios, Algieri, etc but we saw what happened against Mayweather. All credit to Mayweather for doing what he does best, but the old Pacquiao sure as hell would have made it a more interesting fight. Maybe he would've gotten KO'd in the process, maybe not, but bottom line is we would be singing a completely different tune today.

Considering he was brutally knocked out, has a family, looking to be a senator and that his own trainer has Parkinson's from too much abuse, I can see why he is hesitant to fight like his old self. But then it is time for him to step down and hang up the gloves. He's entertained us enough but to go on and fight lower level fighters would just tarnish his legacy. I think the man should fight one last 'easy' fight in Manila and retire. I know a rematch with Mayweather is guaranteed money but if he isn't willing to take the chances and is going to hope on a gift decision, he is just doing the sport a disservice. At least with Mayweather he is honest and upfront about it. So if we continue to pay for his fights then that is our problem but at least we know what we are going to get.

No, Mayweather just made him look that ordinary. I still thinks he beats just about anybody at 147 and below not named Mayweather or Marquez.

    Matthysse
    Ruslan
    Crawford
    Garcia
    ect.

I'd like to see Manny in those fights.

He'll prob fight the bradley Vargas winner. Very winnable fight and he can say how he has the killer instinct back

They should both retire, clearly past their best, but neither will because they both squander their money in different ways.

Interesting. You think he would go toe to toe? I just don't see him having that killer instinct anymore. With Floyd it was clearly evident, then again he is the wrong style for Pacquaio but at least with Marquez, Pacquiao was willing to get hit.

I'm with you man He's fought over 400 rounds as a pro. Time to hang them up. His 8 titles in 8 divisions is a record that could stand for a very long time.

I think maybe he'll take an easy fight then retire after a Crawford fight.

To Floyd's benefit, I don't see anybody beating him, so he could go on. Problem is, I don't know if people are going to continue to want to pay to see him. That's Floyd's only problem.

This is like ten years ago when another fighter of the decade first got ktfo then got outboxed. Manny is in same position as roy was after third tarver fight. He has aged and is gun shy.. He should make better decision then roy and retire in time.
