    126lb Haymon-HBO tournament?

Who do you guys think would win a tournament of:

    Walters
    Lomachenko
    Mares
    Russell Jr
    Santa Cruz
    Gradovich-Selby

This would be one of the most interesting and exciting divisional tourneys that could be made in boxing

My inspiration for this is Mares saying he would love to fight Lomachenko:

I think the final would end up being Walters-Lomachenko

Walter and Lomachenko are the best in 126, I give the edge to Walters.

Lomachenko would be the favorite going in. He's the best fighter at 126 given the eye test.

Manny people say Lomachenko needs more experience before fighting Walters (and a fight against Veytveka for example, before Walters could only benefit him) BUT.... Is it possible that Walters needs some more experience before fighting Lomachenko?

He destroyed an old Vic, but it was an impressive victory to me because it came out of nowhere and Vic looked great against Donaire in his last fight up until the KO. The Donaire fight was impressive as well but both of these guys were damaged goods, to a certain extent, when Walters fought them.

Lomachenko hasn't fought anyone nearly as explosive and powerful as Walters in his pro career yet, but Walters hasn't fought anyone nearly as all-around talented with youth on their side- as Lomachenko.

In my personal opinion, I feel confident saying Lomachenko beats Walters comfortably at this point with the experience he gained since fighting the cheating Salido..... But my heart will be racing from the opening bell. Not sure I could watch it live, but have to wait for replay and see the result on boxingscene first, to spare my sympathetic nervous system for the duration of the fight

Loma's defense doesn't seem spectacular, he isn't there to hit, but he is hittable, so... How you know at this point that his chin is good enough to not get clipped by Walters?

But maybe I argue with the wrong person. I see you have Loma in your P4P top 10. Do you think he has a resume with you can claim he is top 10 P4P? C'mon...
And Wlad is the first? What... Mayeather's resume shits al over Wlad's.

Walters needs to get a fight with Gradovich. Small busy fighter and a title he could gain. Gradovich will be game. Russell would be good prep for Walters as well.

Honestly, I want these four champions to fight now.

Mares can be put in the mix surely, but Walters, Gradovich, Lomachenko, and Russell need to get it on!!

Ugh. I hate posts like this. You clearly have an agenda.....

Lomachenko's defense doesn't seem spectacular? First of all he does have a good defense. I'm not going to even explain why.

Second of all....... What about Walter's? How his defense? Is it spectacular? Is Walter's chin good enough to get clipped by Lomachenko? You're so one-sided it's ridiculous.

OH and Lomachenko is hittable... Right. But Floyd got hit by Robert Guerrero multiple times..... Does his defense suck because he's hittable also? (keep in mind he is even a DEFENSIVE fighter)

Agreed. Honestly I want Lomachenko-Walters NEXT. I hate when fights marinate. But this is actually for once a fight that some marination won't hurt. Neither guy has a lot of experience at the top/as champions.

Also if there was to be ONE more fight for each after June 13th before they fight- Gradovich-Walters and Loma-Veytveka would be perfect. Both Gradovich and Vey are top 10 Featherweights. It will also add to the marination in a good way because both guys would be beating top fighters in the division and it would create even more hype because outside of hardcore fans neither guy is very well-known.

A double-header with those two fights later this year on the same card/same venue would set up one of the best fights in boxing to kick off 2016, IMO.
