  • Bull****!! Of course, they going to get people to testify to this fraudulent claim. This is their angle now so expect them to get doctors and the whole nine yards because of pride in losing and dollars in a rematch. I will not spend my money for a rematch.

You missed the part just after that when he weirdly backed off when Floyd was shelled up.

And you're conveniently leaving out the fact that Pacquiao did this same thing(flashy combos with both hands) several times later in the fight. One particular time he did twice in a row with Mayweather shaking his head "no" letting him know that nothing was getting through. The arm injury is an excuse. Immediately after the fight he thought that he had won and said absolutely nothing about the injury.

because he can't just punch mayweather's gloves indefinitely, he would get arm weary and it wasn't hurting floyd anyway

Furthermore, there were reports among all boxing media members that reliable sources said Pacquaio had been injured during sparring and is taking time off training. You know this is a fact and it adds to the credibility of the injury being legit. You've also got his sparring partner backing up the claim, for whatever that is worth.

Postponing the biggest financial match in boxing history is ludicrious, it'd be moved to a worser date than the mexican holiday, thousands of people would lose out on money for booked accommodation, expenses and everything else involved. There is also the risk Mayweather cancels the fight, claiming Pacquaio 'never wanted the fight'.

Cancelling a fight of this magnitude is just not on the menu, otherwise I'm sure Floyd would have done the same with his injured hands, but the difference is he was and always has been able to take the numbing agent in his hands before his fights, so it makes no difference to him.

Pacquaio and his team were under the assumption they would be able to take the numbing shot they'd been using previously on the night of the fight, thus the immense pain the injury causes would be nullified during the fight. Instead, he was denied it, hurt it in round 4 again during his combination and the rest is history.

As a final point, I also believe Mayweather and his camp knew about the leaked injury, and that was the case for Mayweather intentionally clinching and pulling on his arm early on in the fight, which everyone can see.

I'd like to see a rematch, it makes financial sense and could set up a potential trilogy. He gave other fighters rematches, heck he gave Maidana one. Mayweather would be the heavy favorite, but is there anyone honestly more worthy of a rematch than Pacquaio? Let's not be ******, the fight makes sense, even if the fight was a dud and Pacquaio was delusional about thinking he won.

                  For two reason:
                  1) Because Manny realized Mayweather was not getting seriously hurt. It looked good, but was not effective punching.
                  2) He realized he wasn't landing anything significant and better to step back, than continue punching and potentially tire and run out of gas via an Ali rope a dope. Or even worse, get countered after slowing down. I thought this was one of the best "thinking" moments for Manny.

Freddie has been planting that BS of shot legs and no power into Manny head for weeks. Freddie so-called master plan was a disaster

Because he was landing nothing. Pacquiao fights in spurts in and out, he's not going to stand there wasting his energy hitting nothing waiting for an inevitable counter. He does the same thing in every fight where he had a fighter backed up against the ropes.
