Pacquiao and Marquez basically destroyed each other while TBE schooled both lol

They went to war because they BOTH wanted to go to war. Floyd runs. One wants to go to war but the other wants to run, you're not getting a war. What skill is the runner showcasing? Let's see boxing skills, like slipping, blocking and avoiding punches, counters. Lets not see running skills, like jettisoning 10 feet from the action, run to the other side of the ring. Stuff like that should be point deductions.Comment

You watch the fight? Mayweather was stood in front of Pacquiao half the fight with Pacquiao clueless on how to attack without getting countered. Pacquiao didn't want any war, he was afraid of getting hit by straight rights going in. Just like all fight fans with any understanding of boxing were saying before the fight. They went to war because they BOTH wanted to go to war. Floyd runs. One wants to go to war but the other wants to run, you're not getting a war. What skill is the runner showcasing? Let's see boxing skills, like slipping, blocking and avoiding punches, counters. I saw a lot of clinching and holding and headlocks over and over, I saw Mayweather taking off to the other side of the ring over and over. I saw Mayweather jettisoning and launching himself backwards to the other side of the ring over and over. I saw Pacquiao continuosly going forward and trying to make a fight. I guess we can conclude Mayweather ran himself to victory, that's what I would call controlling distance.Comment

Watched the whole fight like 5 times already.
Just shocked and awed at the brilliance of Mayweather.
He schooled a master craftsman in Marquez and gave a boxing lesson to the greatest offensive fighter of his era.
TBE!!!! 48-0!!!!Comment

Marquez and Pacquiao both went to war because their styles lend themselves to it.They went to war because they BOTH wanted to go to war. Floyd runs. Marquez doesnt have the skills to avoid a war with Pacquiao.
Pacquaio doesnt have the skills to stop getting hit with the right hand all night.Comment

when you consider than floyd has less wear and tear, and was a WW while those two were featherweights, it makes sense.
go back and watch the careers of all three fighters. see the action / contact in pacquiao's career and marquez career.
then look to the size
then ask if floyd really had the better career than pacquiao. he did not.
manny has a better resume than floyd mayweather. mayweather is obviously a better h2h fighter, as he's a hell of a lot bigger.Comment

Mayeather used his size and reach advantage well. Pacquiao was heavy underdog anyway, no shame in defeat really.Comment
