Roy Jones Jr was excellent yesterday

Really, he was on point. I loved how he broke down all the little subtle things that Floyd was doing. Like when Manny got Floyd against the ropes those few times he said that Mayweather was very smart because he was letting Manny expend his energy then as soon Manny would back off he would throw the straight right hand to the body to stop him from recovering. Those few straight rights to the body really slowed pac down. And at the post fight presser Floyd said the exact same thing that Roy said. Roy>Paulie at commentating.

Agreed. Floyd Jr is just an utterly brilliant tactician.

Roy is the best commentator, his work on morales-manny 1 was great, and also was dead on in the tito-mayorga fight...

          No he wasn't.....

No he wasn't. He was BOGUS and biased for Floyd like the judges were. A lot of what Floyd was doing was ineffective. He was not landing clean on Manny. According to Roy, he was. Roy was totally PRO Floyd. He kept saying how Floyd has power and I told you so. What did you tell us, Roy??? Floyd had at least a 10 pound weight advantage on Manny and couldn't hurt him but he has power? Every time Manny hit Floyd, he hurt him.

This too. I was actually a little bit shocked at how subdued and neutral Lampley was being. He did an excellent job too.

Roy said that Pacquiao himself may have bought into this notion that Mayweather was scared of him, it was interesting to think about.

They chose the right announce team for sure. Definitely fantastic. Actually, Floyd explaining himself during the post fight conference was freaking surreal. This guy has enough tricks to start a whore house.
