Comments Thread For: Pacquiao: I Thought I Was Up, Took Foot off Gas in 11/12
Collapse
-
Pacquaio took his foot off the gas in every round because he didn't land much in any round. The punch stats stated that he only landed in double figures in two or three rounds. The 11th and 12th rounds were no different than the first 10.
The truth is the only time Pacquaio landed any decent blows was when Mayweather laid on the ropes, which wasn't often. This is an example of a loser making every excuse he can come up with for losing. Unfortunately, his fans are ****** enough to believe them and act as if Pac would have won the fight if he had done what he claimed he didn't do intentionally.

I just watched Philippine news today and Pacquiao was interviewed. He said regarding his shoulder. His shoulder started giving him problems in 2009, probably not too serious since this is the first time we've heard about it. He injured it three weeks ago and had an MRI done and it was a torn rotator cuff. Doctor told him it would take 30-40 days to heal. He thought about postponing the fight but then they figured if he doesn't use it, it might be ok for the fight. That's why they stopped sparring. He said they(nsac?) knew about the injury and meds that he was using and it was approved.
At the fight they brought the Dr with the shot in the dressing room but he wasn't allowed to do it because they said they weren't informed ahead of time, he said again that they knew ahead of time and he believes Mayweather's camp also knew about the injury because he would clinch and pull and twist on the right arm.
He said at the start of the fight the shoulder was about 50-60%. Then he said when he had Floyd in the ropes and was throwing his combos, he hurt it more and it was painful that's why he pulled back. It must be the 4th when he threw a right uppercut that missed.
He said he will have surgery to get it fixed.

Answer: He lands an average of 6.75 punches per round (total of 81 punches) in a 12 round fight and still thinks he won the fight.

Easy fight to score. Props to Floyd, made it look A LOT easier than I ever thought it would be. This is what Floyd does, he makes you fight at his pace.
Who would have ever thought that Marcos Maidana would give Floyd more fits than Manny Pacquiao, crazy.
I had it 8-4 Mayweather. No need for a rematch. Floyd had him figured out at about mid fight till the end.
