Styles make fights. Counter punchers cause Pacquiao problems.

He couldn't figure out how to close the gap, whenever he got close Floyd would just evade, as he should, but it made for a terrible fight. Bending at the waist when he was cornered also contributed to the low output.

No suprise there, if you honestly thought that Manny was going to land 300+ punches on Floyd like he did to guys like Cotto and Margarito then you never knew anything about boxing. It's also reinforced by the fact he landed less punches in the Marquez fights aswell compared to other opponents.

All the complaints about how the fight went despite the fact that people knew what Floyd boxes like so that tells me people/casuals only wanted the arrogant black man to lose his "0" and as soon as they didn't get that the avalanche of salt began to flow.

He isn't fighting a punching bag here doe, margarito or rios. We all knew his output would be the lowest. This was why I laughed years ago when Al bertein said Pac would win on the basis of activity, because Pac would throw 1000 odd punches and all he needs to do is land half lol.. Yea Al

Pacquiao is a volume puncher I didn't expect him to throw a ton of punches because of Mayweather counter punching skills

Not surprising that Mayweather cut his work rate so much. He excels with the attributes Marquez and Bradley used to frustrate Pacquiao: countering and movement.

People were told for years that he wouldn't be throwing a thousand punches against Mayweather. Some how they didn't think it wise to look at Pacquiao's punch stats against opponents who do not present themselves as stationary targets.

I was going for Floyd all the way, but I have the utmost respect for Pacquiao. It's hard to believe that Floyd beat him to the extent that he did. He was playing with Manny like a baby in the second half of the fight. I felt a little bad for him until I heard the post fight excuses.
