    What defines an atg fighter

what auctually defines an atg ? whats your criteria ? for me its a fighter that's fought the best of there era like a delahoya , its a fighter that creates excitement with there style that fans get excited to see fight like a mike Tyson , a fighter that takes risks like pac fighting way above his natural weight jumping up to fight delahoya , its a fighter that's considered a match for any past great p4p fighter in any era , I just don't see all this in a mayweather I think boxing has degenerated style wise where I fighter nowdays can win fights running and not fighting to there absolute limit , now it seems cruising to safe wins is more the norm than superfights of the past years.

Get the **** out of here.

More than half of Floyd's fights have been championship fights.

Floyd is the best of this era.

" fighter that takes risks like pac fighting way above his natural weight jumping up to fight delahoya"

I loled hard at that part. You know Floyd jumped straight to 154lbs for this fight while Pac drained him to death right ?

That doesn't mean all of them were against great opponents. Floyd is an ATG but he won't be revered because of his style.

                1.Wins
                2.Resume
                3.Talent

Floyd has all 3 IN SPADES. He's beaten THE MOST champions in the history of the sport a 12 time world champion in 5 division several HOF's and a few ATG's on his resume. THAT'S what makes an ATG.

Gatti created excitement, but is he an ATG? Of course not because he doesn't have the:
                1.Wins
                2.Resume
                3.Talent.
Excitement is NOT a criteria for greatness. This is what people fail to understand;WINNING is. WINNING is why SRR is considered the GOAT he was 131-1. WINNING is why Duran is considered an ATG 72-1. WINNING!!!

So Floyd going from Super Feather to eventually fighting ODLH at 154 isn't great like Pac beating ODLH who was at the tail-end of his career?

Sure Floyd hasn't had the opposition like other past greats, but he's cemented his legacy as an ATG by outclassing all of his foes in incredible fashion similar to Roy Jones Jr.

he may well be on many peoples p4p list but he will never never be revered and respected like a ray robinson or duran no way , can you even imagine one of those guys trying to make another fighter wear bigger gloves !!!! that's weak from a so called atg.
