It happens in most sports, you rarely have fireworks in big fights/matches , there is more tension than ever, and the athletes don't want to do something ******, especially early.

Floyd did what he always does, he boxed, used footwork and upper body movement to set up his right hand (a lead right rather than a pull counter, since Pac is a soutpaw) and did good work with his left hook, even missing a couple of huge punches that he doesn't normally throw.

As for Pac, I think it's not a lack of heart or will to win, he was constantly out manouvered, frustated, forced to fight on the outside as opposed to mid range. He rarely managed to jump in and ambush Mayweather, when succesful he did let his hands go, but it didn't happen often enough.

Neither of them are prime, but it was a good fight imo.

Floyd was just that good. After the first 2 rounds Manny realized how good Floyd was and it threw him off. Manny was scared the throw fearing Floyd would counter with speed and accuracy.

I think it was combination of both. His shoulder injury was probably affecting him more than he wants the public to know and Mayweather was that good.

He needed to fight like he fought against JMM before the KO and have a similar game plan to Maidana. Manny has the stamina to keep attacking for 12 rounds.
