Casual fans have done nothing for this sport but put money in Mayweather and Pacquiaos pockets. It's the only fighters they know about and its the only fights they watch. When they don't get their desired results, they degrade our sport.

We say "casuals want excitement".....they weren't watching Matthysse vs Provo, their not supporting GGG, Kovalev or Thurman....WE are.

We say casuals " keep boxing alive "...really? More like they keep the only 2 fighters they know about relevant. We are the one's that built Manny from " The Destroyer" to Pac man and Floyd from "Pretty Boy" to Money. They probably didn't even watch Pac vs Ledwaba, Barrera, etc. Or Floyd vs Corrales.

I welcome new fans to the sport who are willing to learn and make an effort to watch new fighters. But these fake non-boxing fans who only come around once per year to bring negativity can go to hell.
won't let me green k ya bud sorry. I heard some of the ******est comments yesterday watching the fight, i feel you!

It would be a lot different if casual fans actually listened but everybody wants to be the expert.

It has nothing to do with being right or wrong about any fight, it is about how someone came to that conclusion is where you see true understanding of the sport.

Boxing is an art appreciation sport, it is not always fun but if you really appreciate the art of boxing almost all fights will be interesting (although they can get repetitive).

There are a lot of people who watched boxing for the first time last night and are now turned off by it. I've been talking to a lot of them since the fight ended. It sucks. It's sad to hear, and all the jerk offs like ESPN will probably push this as a reason why boxing is dying.

We were all casual fans watching a big fight for the first time at some point. I don't like to think that millions were turned away from the sport because of one fight.

But boxing needs the casuals to keep PBC around.
