WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the more accurate puncher (50% of his power shots in last 13 fights), but throws 16 fewer punches per round than WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, who landed 47% of his power shots in last 12 fights. Floyd's opponents landed just 19% of their total punches and just 24% of their power shots. Pacquiao opponents landed 25% of their total punches and 34% of their power shots. Mayweather +24 rating #1
among active championship caliber fighters. Pacquiao's 19 landed power shots per round #2 behind only Santa Cruz's 23 landed per round. [Click Here To Read More]

It wasn't a schooling. It was exactly what I said it would be: a boring, safe, 12 round decision.

Mayweather has NEVER had his guard as high as he did in this fight. He made it a jab-and-slide contest. Didn't even land his renown pot-shots, and his connect rate was lower than usual.

Neither guy was marked or hurt, though Pacquiao easily landed the best punches of the fight for either fighter between rounds 4 and 6 when he flurried.

Floyd did what he should have done in his first fight with Maidana: create space, throw very few punches, and make it safe. He can't lose that way. His defensive skills are too good to lose that way against Welterweights and under.

People will overlook this or say Im ******ed, but I think the delay ****ed both fighters up....adreneline dump...the warmed up normal routines then told to wait....Pac never fought that way....what a let down. Mayweather won though.

Now Pacroid is saying he had a shoulder injury. ... Only in America where a black man wins a fight and still can't get credit. .

Damn, I guess they should have made Mayweather tie one arm behind his back and tie his shoes together so Pacquiao can win. Manny got schooled and that's all. Dont make excuses, no punch stats, no referee, no gloves, he lost and that's all. I thought it would finally shut them up but it's just gonna get worse I guess. Mayweather is older than pacquiao, don't say it's cause Manny has been in to many wars, it's not Mayweather's fault he knows how to move his head and knows how to defend. You all act like all Floyd did was grab on and run around the ring. If that was the case how did Floyd land enough to win the fight? .Manny had plenty of chances to take the fight to Floyd but he couldnt. Why? Cause Floyd knows how to box. Where were all the angles, blinding speed, and devastating left hand at tonight? He was outclassed and that's all.
