Comments Thread For: Freddie Roach Expects "Fair Fight" From Judges

LAS VEGAS – Based on another fight Manny Pacquiao su****iously lost at MGM Grand to a welterweight who was unbeaten at the time, Freddie Roach would be well within reason to be pessimistic about judges getting it right if Pacquiao-Mayweather goes to the scorecards Saturday night.

Even after the Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley debacle in June 2012, Roach is confident judges Burt Clements, Glenn Feldman and Dave Moretti will score Pacquiao’s welterweight fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. accurately if 12 rounds are completed at MGM Grand. Pacquiao’s Hall-of-Fame trainer thinks the spotlight is too bright for judges with respectable resumes to score the fight wrong.

i will honestly be shocked if bayless or any of the judges do a poor job. The backlash in a fight like this say the obvious loser getting a decision would completely wreck the sport and that judge would never live it down ever. Just that alone i think will make for a fair fight

Do not forget to have the gloves of chicken Floyd be thoroughly inspected prior to the fight. Be very strict during hand wrap (zero tolerance). Chicken Floyd will do anything dirty just to win this fight.

Judges scores are an opinion there's no right or wrong. Where most of them **** up is thinking they must give close rounds to a fighter and they end up choosing the fighter they like, instead of scoring the round a draw. If judges only scored clear rounds for fighters there wouldn't be as many controversial cards.

scoring rounds 10-10 is recipe for disaster boxers know when rounds are close knowing that they can get 10-10 rounds will make them coast more not go out there put it on line as knowing that since round can go either way they gotta come out harder next round and push action

the only controversial about it is that their opinions always favors Floyd.

I was talking about judges in general, but carry on moaning about how unfair the fight is along with the rest of the idiots.

If a fighter banks rounds it's on the opponent to catch up. Fighters shouldn't be winning just because he was given all the close rounds.
