Eddie Hearn recently offered Belfast’s Carl Frampton, 20-0 (14), a £1.5 million purse for a showdown with Bury’s Scott Quigg, 30-0-2 (22), at the Manchester Arena. However, Barry McGuigan, Frampton’s mentor and friend, insists that they want a 60-40 split in their favour if the fight is made. The former world featherweight champion maintains that his fighter is the draw, so the purse should reflect this.

Just right from Barry! Why should the rules change now?? Eddie has always talked about ''the lions share' Carl is the Champion, the bigger draw, and would sell more tickets than Quigg. It would be like a hometown fight for Carl if this fight happened!

Hearn goes on about how they "bring the broadcaster" and "put the money on the table" but fails to recognise that the broadcaster doesn't bring anything without Carl Frampton.

ive yet to see a basic joe gallgher fighter achieve anything. He talks only **** lol. He said about 4 fights ago that one of his guys was ready for degale in 2 fights time its ridiculous. Then he masterminded that crolla thing, and crolla looks depressed since. Then youve got paul smith biggest tosspot in the country, then all other gallagher guys dont fight, or only have tune ups. They was too afraid to even fight carson jones whos a welterweight at lightmiddle.

is hearn even manager aswell as promoter, if he was manager aswell like warren is he'd be geting a lot more. He probably owes burns for advising him to break his contract with warren, 'weve seen the contract and theres nothing there' I think he said when they announced burns, well they didnt account for the toss pot of a judge did they? who said burns contract was valid even though he's fighting for free?

Exactly. Hearn is a fcking blowhard. "We bring the broadcaster"/"it's every fighter's dream to fight on PPV", it's all the same sound bites from him. Out to line his pockets and has been since day one. Quality of his non-PPV shows are becoming a disgrace and even his last two PPV shows did not deserve to be PPV (I'll watch the May 30 card in the pub and everyone should do the same!). Frampton is clearly the draw, the bigger name, the legit world champ and the more exciting fighter - and also has a better resume. So why the fck should it be 60-40 to the WINNER? It should be 60-40 to Carl full stop, as he is the A-side. Period. Hearn thinks because he has this golden deal with Sky that he can move the goal-posts, he simply can't. If he wants to reach into his pockets he can try and secure a big name from the US to fight Quigg - like Donaire or Santa Cruz or Mares or Rigondeaux, but he won't do that. He'll probably land Kiko, Frampton's leftovers, and hope to God Scott does a better job on him. Meantime, Frampton will continue building his name on ITV, putting Quigg in the shade. I'd so love it if McGuigan was able to secure a big name for the Jackal. I'm sure ITV liked what they saw in the Avalos fight. Time for them to back this kid.

tbh if i had to chose sky or boxnation id chose boxnation, yeah warren and bunce/lillis are a bit arrogant, and theyre nobs but atleast theyre not scum like adam smith/ sky owners. And warren makes good fights, sometimes. Sky are part of the brainwashing media which isnt even reality, they just dominate the market and can shut down whoever they like just by throwing theyre money around. They can increase theyre budget to try and kill of boxnation if they wanted theyve that much capital.

McGuigan won't be bullied and Frampton won't be paid. McGuigan should stop putting his own pride first.
