    Contursi on Thurman vs Maidana

He says 'we're not stepping stones for anybody'...that's a ****** thing to say, he's pretty much saying he knows what the outcome would be...

He then goes on to say Thurman is a candidate to fight Maidana, but I think it's obvious in the tone of his voice that he doesn't want it.

Thurman, D.Garcia or Porter. I'd be happy with any of those 3.

          Nice whopping neck tattoo.

As for this, ya it's a bad fight for maidana. Thurman is too explosive with his punches and has great movement. I think he'd ko maidana.

I don't think Maidana himself would say no to the fight but this guy doesn't want to put him in there with Thurman.

It's a bad style match up for Chino.

I'd like to see Maidana vs Brook. After the problems Brook encountered with Carson Jones the first time round I'd be intrigued to see how Brook deals with Maidana's swarming style.

maidana's in his "overrated as fu-ck" phase after losing to floyd. we always see this with bums like ortiz and guerrero etc...

i don't think maidana will be fighting with the same hunger he fought broner and floyd in the first fight again. he doesn't look good right now. i think he will fight berto (or a soft touch courtesy of haymon) and then try to get one more big money fight.
