It's a bit more than a rumor when Suge's lawyer is the one making the claim. Maybe he intended on bailing him out until it became public knowledge. As for Manny and the drug dealer, if he was spending $10 million dollars to get her out, I would be just at outraged. Asking for lenience and to delay or postpone or cancel her execution is not quite the same thing.Comment

She's now out of death row, the only one spared among the 10 scheduled to face the firing squad. I'm not sure if Pac played a role in the stay of execution but the Philippine president sure did exert a big influence by personally talking to the Indonesian president.Comment

LOS ANGELES — Suge Knight is betting undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather will bail him out of jail.
The rap mogul was in good spirits Thursday as he pleaded not guilty to murder at a follow-up arraignment, and received a July 7 trial date.
Knight's lawyer said the co-founder of Death Row Records was ready to face a jury and was optimistic that Mayweather would cover his $10 million bail once a Saturday blockbuster bout with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas is done.
“My understanding is that Suge is going to be bailed out this coming week,” lawyer Matthew Fletcher told the Daily News outside court.
“We think Mr. Mayweather is going to win the championship and then come champion the day again,” he said. “They're good friends, and there's no reason he shouldn't. And we believe that will happen.”
Knight, 50, was taken into court in a wheelchair. He smiled and blew a kiss at his fiancée, Toi Kelly, before leaving.
The former rap impresario is in his third month behind bars on charges of mowing down two men in the parking lot of Tam's Burgers in Compton, Calif., on Jan. 29, killing local businessman Terry Carter.

Prosecutors claim Knight intentionally targeted at least one of the men — former gang member Cle (Bone) Sloan — after they fought at a nearby production site for upcoming N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton."
Knight has claimed he was the victim of a coordinated attack at Tam's and believed the men were armed when he accidentally ran Carter down while trying to escape.
“That's absolutely ludicrous,” Carter's eldest daughter Nekaya Carter said outside court Thursday when asked about Knight's version of events.
Her family announced plans for a candlelight vigil Thursday night to remember Carter at the spot where he died.
“We want justice for him,” she said.
“It's for the continuance of prayer,” her younger sister Crystal Carter told The News. "We're happy (Knight) was finally arraigned on the official charges and want justice as soon as possible. We want him to face a jury."

Suge Knight plans to get bailed out of jail this weekend after Floyd Mayweather's bout in the ring against Manny Pacquiao, Knight's lawyer says.
Fletcher said he expected the trial to last about 16 days. But he first plans to file a motion to dismiss the case on a technicality.
The defense attorney argues that prosecutors stumbled during the preliminary hearing and failed to adequately identify Knight as the driver of the truck seen plowing over Sloan and Carter in surveillance video.
A hearing for that motion was set for May 29 with a different judge.
When he testified at the preliminary hearing, Sloan said he wasn't a “snitch” and refused to identify Knight as the driver of the car.
Audio of his police interview was admitted, but Fletcher argues Sloan only used a nickname and never adequately identified the truck's driver in that recording either.
“The prosecution basically has chosen to try to indict the vehicle as the culprit. Vehicles can't be indicted,” Fletcher told The News
If the case isn't dismissed, "we're absolutely ready for trial," he said.
