Comments Thread For: Arum Reacts To Mayweather on Pacquiao/Haymon

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, laughed off the recent statements that were made by Floyd Mayweather Jr., who said Manny Pacquiao would be making a lot more money if he would've retained the services of manager/adviser Al Haymon [who works with Mayweather and at least 160 other fighters].

Mayweather and Pacquiao had a chance meeting at a Miami Heat game, in Florida, back in January. The two fighters met face to face, and had a conversation which both indicate was the turning point in their negotiations and ultimately led to a deal being finalized for Saturday's mega-fight showdown.

Bob Arum does bring up a good point. Why doesn't Mayweather have any endorsements?
You'd think he'd have a whole bunch. Not that he needs it the guy is rich regardless, you makes you wonder.

Domestic violence no corporation wants to be associated with that look at athletes that get dropped soon allegations come out that sponsor money doesn't matter to someone that tops Forbes list for athletes for just working 72mins a year

Yeah, but there have been athletes that haven't exactly been squeaky clean and still had endorsements.

                Lmao

Has nothing to do with Al haymon
Floyd ain't got endorsements because he is a douche bag that beats women in front of his kids and he can't read,,, that's the reason he doesn't get endorsements..

But to Haymon's credit he took floyd who was a decent star under arum and took him to superstar status

Yea but Floyd is unrepentant, he doesn't think he did anything wrong and outright defends it and he keeps doing it, it would be different if he only did it once but multiple times.... Not going to fly.. Hell people are saying boycott the fight.

He does have 1 endorsement though and that's Reebok.

                    Mayweather Promotions

                    TheMoneyTeam.com - buy a shirt, buy a hat

What amount of money can an endorsement give Mayweather?

                    $5million for 1 year?
                    $20 million for 2 years?

Mayweather makes more than that in 36 minutes. Why be held hostage by a company that he doesn't own for years when he can be free.

He has always said, he'll take an endorsement if they give him a life time deal. Mayweather is building his own "Jordan-esque" brand. He even has his own logo.

This will go over most people's head.
