Floyd Mayweather will view his success in providing financial security for his family as a greater achievement than retiring undefeated.

Mayweather confronts his most ferocious challenge yet when he faces long-term rival Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning to finally determine who is the finest boxer of their generation.

The 38-year-old has cultivated an air of invincibility built upon his unbeaten 47-fight record, but he views the accumulation of a personal fortune in excess of #325million with greater satisfaction than his exploits in the ring.

Well played . Floyd is smart not to fall into the same trap Larry Holmes did by saying Marciano couldn't carry his jock strap. Just pay respect, downplay and move on.

And that sharp mind is in congress and planning on running for President of the country, right?

Just more ho ho from Jr. showing he can speak greater than he acts.

Floyd is right here, but he has even mentioned the good ole '0' on his record too many times in the past to pretend that it means nothing to him.

I think he's just saying what he thinks people want him to say and not what he really feels.

To be 100% honest, If I was in his exact position, I probably would have ducked the Pacquiao that knocked out Oscar, Hatton and Cotto too. That guy was scary.

A sharp mind? Sleeping with hookers unprotected is not the sign of a sharp mind

It's dumb because fighters have surpassed 49-0. They might have lost later, but winning that many fights without losing really isn't a huge deal. No one that serious thinks Marciano is the GOAT in his own division, let alone ever. Mayweather's already had a greater career to this point, let alone if he beat Pacquiao.
