If you think Ali was a draft dodger you probably hold some sort of bigoted views in one way or another and shouldn't be taken seriously. For what purpose did he have for fighting the white man's war?

**** off you spastik. America's wars of aggression throughout the 20th century have caused traumas that resonate today and are responsible for most modern day violence.

Sadly, you are right. Our brave men and women who serve deserve better. So does our country.

**** being called a "draft dodger"

If someone doesn't want to go to war, especially in a conflict that had zero to do with defending America, there is nothing wrong with that..

Had it been ww2 and pearl harbor or 9/11 or civil war etc, that's a different story, but Vietnam, Iraq, Korea, etc literally had nothing to do with America.. I don't fault anyone for not wanting to be forced to fight..
And I served during wartime on a tank, but find no fault with Ali's decision

You could argue that dodging the draft was the way to go

But whether he was a draft dodger? Well anyone who dodges the draft is a draft dodger

If he had just stood up from the start and said "I'm not going, it's wrong." instead of weaseling out by playing lawyer games, I would not agree, but I could respect it.
That's interesting, makes me wonder if he was really all that ideologically opposed to the war which is what he gets credit for or whether he really just didn't want to fight in any war (irrespective of the cause) when he had a nice life back home.
