Comments Thread For: Wilder: Klitschko Won't Be Able To Hold Me, Lean on Me

Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) holds the only other title in the Heavyweight division that Wladimir Klitschko doesn’t hold. So that alone makes it an attractive fight. The fact that he’s just as tall and has power makes it all the more intriguing. Wilder was ringside as Klitschko defeated Bryant Jennings in Madison Square Garden. Wilder felt it was a competitive fight and feels his countrymen did well against Klitschko.

Wilder will be a more watchable fight were both men fight from the distance with jabs, in a tactical affair. Let the fight grow, as Wilder says, no need to rush it, especially when we have Vlad saying he might fight on for some time.

Haymon will never let Wilder fight Wlad/Fury as long as he's got a hole in his arse.

That paper belt is going to be MILKED. Haymon has invested far too much time and money into Wilder to let Wlad knock him senseless.

Wilder-Tarver will be next. BUM SQUADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Sounds like a challenge. I'm sure Wlad is hard at work in the gym preparing his latest clinching strategy.

Wlad generally doesn't clinch as much against taller opponents. But they are usually so immobile that he can just outbox them. That's something which makes the Fury and Wilder fights a little interesting as both are pretty mobile for their height.

He's developing these boxing boots especially:

Like to see Wilder escape the 'lean' when Wlad's wearing these bad boys.

The level of competition Wilder has faced is beyond laughable. Very few creditable heavyweights on his resume. Haymon has no intentions of putting him in the ring Klitschko. At least not right away. Their plan was to feed Wilder mismatches and wait it out till Klitschko gets old and retires or fight him when he's a shadow of his former self. Wilder has had 33 pro fights and is turning 30 in a few months. He is not a young fighter. He should be fighting nothing but top fighters at this stage but just watch his next fight will be a step down from Stiverne instead of a step up. But this is what happens when you are protected by Haymon.

Also anyone else getting sick and tired of these Haymon fighters talking smack about other fighters KNOWING GOD DAMN WELL THAT HAYMON WILL NEVER PUT THEM IN THE RING WITH THOSE GUYS? Here is the script Haymon fighter talks smack then fights some no named bum instead because daddy Haymon says so. It's like the little kid at the school yard running his mouth starting a fight with bigger kids then running behind the teacher with a smile on his face. Easy to act so tough when you know no chance of you having to back it up.
